Event Expired

Haven’t we all been to Goa, soaked in its beach and beer, and have come back wanting more. Well, what if we tell you there’s more to this beach destination to woo you. Like the colourful mosaic of Indian and Portuguese culture. Local food which has Portuguese flavours amalgamated into Goan cuisine. Mountains that extend beyond the beaches. Ancient monuments that talk of a glorious past. A wildlife sanctuary where, if you are lucky, you can spot a leopard. On this tour, we do this unexplored side of Goa. So pack your bag to take in the local culture, enjoy the warm hospitality of a Goan family, spot some exotic flowers. And of course, you will return with some sand in your pockets.

Day 1

As you arrive in the morning at Goa Airport/Margao Railway Station, we pick you up and we check in at a resort. You freshen up, change into clothes suited to Goa and we leave for Solkadi.

At a village near Goa a home-cooked meal with a local family awaits us. We meet our warm hosts, enjoy some authentic Goan and Portuguese food for lunch. After we have had our fill, we take a walk through the village. What is a better way to understand and appreciate the diversity of our country than to walk through its towns and villages?

We come back to the resort at Benaulim beach. You can unwind at the poolside in the resort or stroll to the beach which is 10 minutes away. We catch up for dinner at the authentic restaurant nearby and then retire for the day.

Day 2

Today we leave from hotel after breakfast and spend the whole day exploring beautiful churches, forts and beaches of South Goa. We stop for lunch at a restaurant run by an old Portuguese lady. We touch the remnants of a fort and talk about its glorious past. We walk into churches, sit at a pew and feel his holy presence. As you live this side of the city, you will soak in the true culture which is often hidden from the tourists who visit the city for a day or two. We come back to the hotel at 6 in the evening. Enjoy the beach or the pool. Have dinner. Sleep to the good memories you created today.

Day 3

Today we go to the Netravali Wildlife Sanctuary. Located in South Eastern Goa, it is one of the vital corridors of the Western Ghats. A rich habitat of flora and plenty of perennial streams sustain a good population of animals. Four horned antelope, leopards, black sloth bear, and other predators and herbivores find home here. Rare birds can be spotted, uncommon butterflies will be seen sitting on exotic flowers. And of course, the smell of forest is something you will wish to pack for home.

We have lunch at the sanctuary and trek to a hidden waterfall. We will be back to our resort by 4 in the evening.

Good food again awaits us for dinner.

Day 4
